A SCHOOLBOY’S artwork has been brought to life as the new logo for his home of Stogursey.

Lee Harris, 12, won a competition run by the parish council and parish plan group for youngsters to design an image to be used on the parish lengthsman van and on council documents.

Lee, then a pupil at Stogursey Primary School, received a cheque for £50 and a commemorative picture of his work in recognition of his achievement.

Parish council chairman Allan Searle said: “I am very proud and grateful about the new design crafted by Lee for Stogursey Parish Council.”

“It is fantastic to see it displayed on our lengthsman's van and it will also be used on other parish documents such as our letters.

“We all wish Lee all the very best both now and into the future.”

Lengthsman Phil Venning maintains roadside verges and hedges as part of a scheme designed to keep the parish looking tidy.
