ACCOUNTANCY students at the Richard Huish Business School in Taunton have received results showing they have achieved above the worldwide pass rate.

All students who took the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exam passed with 93% in their corporate and business law element – the pass rate is 54% – and far exceeded pass rates in all other units.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants students also surpassed target pass rates with scores of over 90% in all of their strategic units.

Paula Judge, head of professional accountancy at Huish, said: “Our accountancy students have been working really hard again this year and I’m delighted that their efforts have paid off.

“We strive for a very high standard with our accountancy provision at Huish, and these results support our quality awards from both CIMA and ACCA.”
