Cranes released onto Somerset Levels

WILDLIFE lovers welcomed the successful release of 19 cranes onto the Somerset Levels and Moors.

The birds were released by the Great Crane Project, a partnership of wildlife organisations funded by Viridor Credits Environmental Company.

The project aims to restore the wild crane population throughout the UK.

There's a flamin' great crane at the entrance to Bower lane - perhaps they can relocate that one too :)
