Manor Court pupils boost Little Purple Kitty funds

CHILDREN at Manor Court Primary School in Chard have helped a fundraising campaign instigated in the town.

The Little Purple Kitty received £1,000 last week following an assembly – made up of £765.98, half the proceeds from a sponsored walk last term, plus £234.02 from the Friends of Manor Court Association.

The Little Purple Kitty was set up last autumn following a wave of support for pupil Chloe Teague after she was diagnosed with leukaemia. It benefits children’s cancer charities.

Andy Teague, of The Little Purple Kitty, said: “This money will go towards worthy causes that help children who are poorly. “I’d like to say thank you very much to everyone – it is absolutely fantastic and you should be very proud of yourselves.”
