Sunflower success at Tatworth

VILLAGER Frank Long presented pupils with prizes in Tatworth Primary School's annual sunflower competition.

Children grew sunflowers over the summer to see who could produce the largest flower head. Frank organises the competition each year and gives the prizes.

The poor summer weather resulted in slightly fewer entries than usual but Thomas Jennings took first place with a sunflower head 39cm in diameter.

The school thanked Frank for his continued support and looks forward to next year’s competition, the tenth.
