New year at Messy Church in Chard is underway

THE first session of a new year of Messy Church was held on Thursday, September 13, with more than 40 children and parents taking part.
The theme was Jonah and the Whale and the usual mix of craft and other activities saw whales, boats and the sea feature prominently. A short, lively worship session and the usual two-course meal followed.
The next Messy Church, organised by Chard Churches Together, is on Thursday, October 11, from 4pm to 6pm, at the Baptist Church, Holyrood Street, Chard. This is open to all children, accompanied by a parent or parents and siblings. The event is free, and includes a hot meal, although donations towards the costs are welcome.
