Chard-Helmstedt Society enjoy wine evening

KEN Courtney and his wife, Ann, selected tantalising wines for the Chard-Helmstedt Society to sample at his fun wine and cheese evening at Chaffcombe Hall.
Six wines were on offer and teams had to guess the type of wine, country of origin, price and how much everyone liked them.
Enjoyment outweighed the group’s knowledge as the highest score managed was three out of 18! The society was far more certain about the buffet, arranged by Ann, which was excellent. A raffle followed and 40 folk ‘tottered’ off, well satisfied with their night out.
