Stocklinch builder turns micro-brewer

A BUILDER and property developer has decided to turn his hobby into a recession-beating venture.

Kevin Jones, a keen ale brewer, has decided to follow his dream of brewing ales on a commercial scale, setting up his own micro-brewery in Stocklinch. He said: “I started brewing in my 20s using pots and pans at home just for fun.

“When the building trade dried up about two years ago, I started working at the Lyme Regis Micro-brewery to help me perfect my craft. “When the Manor Farm industrial units in Stocklinch, where I live, became available 18 months ago it was just the incentive I needed to make my dream of running my own micro-brewery into a reality.”
