Police trying to trace man in connection with fraud offence

AN 81-YEAR-OLD man was ripped off when a builder conned him out of over £7,000.

Police are trying to identify the man pictured and want to speak to him in connection with an offence of fraud by false representation.

The pensioner had some building work carried out at his property and was charged £75.

He wrote out a cheque to pay for the work but discovered that a cheque was later paid into a bank to the value of £7,500.

The person officers wish to speak to is described as a white male, approximately 60-years-old, of a medium build, with short dark, receding hair, wearing glasses, a green bodywarmer and a blue shirt.
