Success at Sunnymeade Care Home in Chard

TWO fund-raising events at Sunnymeade Care Home have raised a total of £500 for the residents’ amenity fund.
The money will go towards arranging activities and trips out for the residents.
Staff from Sunnymeade swapped their uniforms for sponges and spatulas while they offered to wash cars and sold cooked breakfasts to people; efforts which raised £150.
The residents and staff then held a summer fete at the home where stalls and activities coined in £350.
Sunnymeade manager Nicky Passant said: “I can’t believe how generous everyone has been – to raise £500 is such an achievement.
“Thank you so much to everyone who came to the events and to the staff and residents who helped to organise everything.”
