2:10pm Tuesday 4th September 2012 in News
VILLAGERS in Watergore sick of motorists travelling at high speeds on the Harp Road have received a boost.
The Watergore Action Against Speeding Protest group (WAASP) have campaigned for the 50mph speed limit to change on the road to Seavington.
Somerset County Council are now considering a change via their Local Transport Plan.
A spokesman said: “It is proposed to introduce a speed limit of 40mph on the length of road running from the A303 through Watergore to Seavington.
“The proposal is being advertised and subject to no significant objections being received will be introduced as part of the current financial year’s work programme.”
