Burnham archer hoping for bullseye with motor neurone book

AN archer from Burnham has celebrated the launch of his first book at the Princess Theatre.

Nigel Boley, 59, of Charlestone Road, wrote ‘A Bit Off Target’ to raise cash for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Nigel, an instructor with the Burnham Company of Archers for 20 years, was originally inspired to write what he describes as a “series of tall tales with archery thrown in”.

He said: “I was diagnosed with MND just over a year ago and am determined to help in combating the disease.

“I think the book will be a great way to contribute towards finding a cure, and to provide help and equipment for people with MND.

“I’m indebted to Judith Champion for her wonderful and witty artwork, and to Julian Plested for the time he has put into making the book a reality.”

The book is for sale at £6 in Sea Breeze Gallery, Hurley’s book shop, Café’ Aroma, BOS Interiors and KSD Interiors.
