Adam's widow Sarah Chorley, centre, receives a cheque from Cris Cadby and Sam Webber, of IDN
A CHARITY golf day run by a Creech St Michael firm raised £3,300 in memory of a young funeral director who died of a brain tumour.
The money from the Integrated Data Needs event at Taunton Vale Golf Club will go to Hammer Out, which supports people with brain tumours and their families and funds research.
The company has been backing the charity since the death of Adam Chorley, 38, in January, 2008.
Their efforts are continuing – financial manager Sam Webber, who has already helped raise over £11,000 through various events, including a climb to Everest base camp, plans to climb Aconcagua in Argentina in January.
IDN managing director Cris Cadby said: “We’d like to thank everyone who supported our third charity golf day.
“We raised an amazing total of over £3,300, which will make a fantastic difference to Hammer Out.”
