SIXTH-FORM students at Wadham Community School in Crewkerne had plenty to celebrate when they picked up their A-level results on Thursday.

Twenty-five received their full A-level results and 38 their AS results.

Sophie Draper achieved As in Maths, Physics and Biology and Bs in Chemistry and Further Maths at A-level and is hoping to read Natural Sciences at university.

Will Vickery achieved three As and one B at AS-level.

Head teacher David Derbyshire said: “Students have worked hard to achieve their results and will now be looking forward to their next steps in education, employment and training.

“Wadham School is proud of its students and the results they have achieved at the end of their time in our sixth-form.

“While a small number still await final confirmation of their place, we are expecting all those who sought a university place for this September will have been successful.”
