High praise for Wedmore students
MORE than 60 students from a Wedmore school have received certificates to mark their accomplishments.
The end-of-term presentations were made to Year Eight leavers at Hugh Sexey Middle School.
The certificates recognised a variety of aspects of school life and special awards were given out this year for academic achievement, citizenship and sporting achievement.
Headteacher Jenny Venning (pictured third from right, front) said: “It’s the top award for children who achieved the most throughout the year.
“I’d like to say well done to everyone who achieved an award.
“We are very proud of all the children and we were given an award of excellence by Ofsted just last week.”
