  • "Has he told Portakabin of his plans, is that why they are pulling out of Bridgwater and moving to Highbridge. Another own goal I think Mr Liddell-Grangier"

Bridgwater MP to air traffic concerns

Ian Liddell-Grainger Ian Liddell-Grainger

Bridgwater MP Ian Liddell-Grainger is meeting with Government officials in a bid to restrict the numbers of mobile homes being transported through town.

Mr Liddell-Grainger said the effect of the vehicles, combined with extra traffic heading for Hinkley Point, could be ‘disastrous’.

He said: “I am hoping to ban lorries with mobile homes on the back which are destined for Minehead from travelling during certain hours.

“If they were restricted to travel only between 8pm and 7am it would ease a lot of congestion in Bridgwater.”
