THE soggy weather may have been typical of Britain's so-called summer, but that did not stop Berrow Fayre being declared a resounding success by organisers.

The event featured a range of games, stalls and activities to keep visitors young and old entertained.

Hilary Cox, one of the organisers, said: “It went very well despite the weather.

“There were lots of lovely stalls and it was very well supported by the locals.

“It raised £1,550, which was a really good total.”

The money will go to the Berrow School Association, and will be used to pay for school trips and equipment.
