Swords and shields as Wellington pupils learn about the Viking days
CURIOUS youngsters at Wellington School took a step back in time as they looked into the history of the Vikings.
A Viking warrior carried out a saga assembly followed by a series of workshops for the year six children to dig into, including the production of ancient Viking ships.
A conference session using Skype then took place with Jorvik Viking Centre in York, where the pupils listened to a Viking's daily life before participating in a question and answer session.
