TWO men from Watchet were arrested for drug offences on Tuesday after information received from the public about a car thought to be linked to drug dealing.
The men, aged 28 and 20, were arrested for possession with intent to supply a class B drug after mephedrone was found in the car when PC Lee Cox stopped and searched it.
They have been bailed pending further investigation and forensic testing.
PC Cox said: "This is an excellent example of police and the community working together. The public are our eyes and ears and it is really important they keep talking to us and telling us what is going on in their area.
"Drug crime is fortunately undertaken by a minority, particularly in West Somerset, but it does still impact on our communities and in this case the community have made a clear stand against it and worked with us."
