STUDENTS at the Monday Craft Club at Preston School in Yeovil have been knitting like frenzy during their lunchtime sessions.

The youngsters were taught knitting skills to enable them to knit blankets for Africa and the craze caught on so much that teachers got out the needles as well.

Parents, teachers and friends donated wool and time to knit squares. More than 150 squares were knitted in total.

One of the colourful blankets can be seen in the picture with learning support assistant Mrs Johnson and pupils who attended the group every Monday lunchtime.
