PULSES were racing at Brean Leisure Park as the Dream Boys helped raise more than £1,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Women from across Somerset and some even as far afield as Birmingham and Poole hit the Farmers Tavern at the popular leisure park to revel in night's feel-good factor.

Drag act Tricia kicked off the night's fun with an engaging joke-filled routine before he Dream Boys hit the stage and set the room alight.

Tricia returned to the stage with another routine and invited the audience to join her for rip-roaring songs.

The Dream Boys returned to the stage for the finale performance and were met with rapturous applause from the excited crowd.

Organiser and fundraiser Chris Piper said: “It really was a fantastic night and we would like to thank Sentiments of Burnham for their support with decorations and to Bridget House and her staff at Brean Leisure Park for all their valued help during and after the event.

“The Dream Boys had the guests up on their feet shouting and clapping, plus lots of laughter all of the time!

“I'd like to thank everyone who came along on the night to support our charity and raising an incredible £1,007 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, and to The Dream Boys, Tricia and DJ.”

Chris Piper is holding a quiz night at The Pier Tavern in Burnham on Tuesday. Entry is £1 and it starts at 7.45pm.
