A HIGHBRIDGE-based children charity has received a cash boost thanks to a kind-hearted bookshop owner.
Mervyn Todd, of Books for Life in Bridgwater, donated £125 to the National Blind Children's Society and presented the charity with the cheque at their Highbridge base in Market Street.
Charity chief executive Carolyn Fullard said: “On behalf of all the children and young people with visual impairment we help, I would like to thank Mervyn for his terrific fundraising efforts.
“Without the support of people like him we wouldn't be able to continue our work, especially in these hard times.”
