HOMES in Sedgemoor has teamed up with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service to promote fire safety in the home.
The partnership will promote fire safety to housing association tenants through events, information and advice, and staff will be trained in basic fire safety awareness.
Dawn Lang, director of resources at Homes in Sedgemoor, said: “Safety is one of our top priorities and this partnership will be a real benefit to our residents.
“While we do everything we can to ensure our homes are safe and the risk of fire is minimal, it is also important that people take responsibility for fire safety in their home.”
Chris Hole, from the fire service, said: “This partnership will enable our organisation to promote fire safety in properties that have been difficult for us to access in the past.
“This will help us to create and deliver safer communities in the Sedgemoor area by working together with Homes in Sedgemoor.”
