A FORMER cast member of the West End production of Les Miserables, Lisa Thorner, is to offer a specialist workshop for students at the Yeovil-based Razzamataz drama group.

Lisa, who is currently a vocal coach at Guildford School of Acting and soon to be head of musical theatre at the Urdang Academy in London, will be hosting the workshop to develop students’ skills and knowledge in singing and drama, as well as having fun.

She is a former Westfield Community School and Yeovil College and before her stage career took off, she worked at the Yeovil Express in our advertising department.

Lisa is at present involved with the Yeovil Youth Players’ production of Spring Awakening which takes place at Yeovil College from September 1-3, 2011.

The workshop will be held at The Gateway in Addlewell Lane, Yeovil, on Saturday, June 18, from 3pm to 5.30pm.

Students will be looking at various characters and songs from Les Miserables and the session will end with a short performance for interested family and friends.

You do not need to be a current Razzamataz student to attend, but places are limited and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
