THE deadline to apply for a position on Ilminster Town Council is this week.
Four seats remain vacant and the council is inviting people to put their names forward by 12noon on Tuesday, May 24, if they are interested in becoming a town councillor.
Although there have already been a number of applications there is a little more time for more people to register their interest.
Applicants are invited to write to the clerk giving details of interests, experience and reasons for wishing to serve at either of the following addresses: Julia Thorne, Town Clerk, Ilminster Town Council, Council Offices, North Street, Ilminster, Somerset TA19 0DG or e-mail town.council@ilminster.gov.uk.
Applicants will be invited to give a five minute presentation at a special meeting held on Tuesday, May 31, in the council chamber.
