A Taunton pizza store is giving away 50 free pizzas this weekend to celebrate an anniversary.

Papa John's, on East Reach, is giving away the food to celebrate 10 years of "delivering on its 'Better Ingredients. Better Pizza' brand promise in the UK."

Taunton Deane Mayor Jefferson Horsley will be at the branch at midday today to unveil a plaque while, a company statement says, "100% fresh dough pizza is given away to the people of Taunton."

John Schnatter, Papa John's founder, chairman and chief executive, said: "We're absolutely delighted that Cllr Horsley will be helping us celebrate our first decade in the UK as we invite people in Taunton to join our party and smple our delicious pizza for free."
