Clydesdale Bank has welcomed two new highly experienced bankers to join the business team at its Truro based Financial Solutions Centre David Perks, aged 52, has enjoyed a distinguished 33-year career in commercial banking as well as a spell as a financial consultant and joins Clydesdale as a business partner.

He is joined by 31-year-old associate Adam Mitchell who has also specialised in commercial banking throughout his career.

David Perks said: “Having lived and worked in Truro for over 25 years I know the business community in Cornwall very well.

“I am particularly pleased to be joining Clydesdale Bank because of the style of relationship banking it champions and the fact that virtually every decision on lending is made here in Cornwall on behalf of Cornish businesses.

“Nationally, the bank is in good shape attracting growing numbers of small and mid-corporate trading businesses and on track to deliver against its two year new lending commitment of £10 billion by October 2011.

“My aim is to help Cornish businesses fulfil there ambitions and Clydesdale’s commitment to supporting customers is unwavering.”
