The mayor and mayoress of Truro were the special guests at one of the city’s Nepalese restaurants to join the celebrations for one of the country’s most traditional festivals.
Ron and Jan Cooke were among 80 guests at the Yak and Yeti restaurant in Kenwyn Street to celebrate Dashain, the biggest annual festival in Nepal.
The restaurant provided a wealth of traditional cuisine for the guests to enjoy and presented Mr and Mrs Cooke with some costume.
Laxman Giri from the Yak and Yeti said: “We enjoyed the day of celebration very much and it seemed as thought this year was better then the last.”
