A Truro charity shop is appealing for volunteers to help out on Saturdays.

Staff at the Children’s Hospice South West shop in Victoria Square said that staff is in short supply on what are normally the busiest days of the week.

Manager Nikki Jenkins said: “There are many different roles you can get involved with such as customer service, sorting the stock, window dressing, or data inputting. All we ask is that you can regularly spare a few hours of your time on Saturdays.

“Anyone over the age of fifteen can apply, and full training will be given. Some youngsters volunteer as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award or the government V Award initiative. Young or old, if you’re reliable and committed to helping our cause, we’d be thrilled to welcome you to the team.”

Anyone able to support Children’s Hospice South West, who are currently raising money to build a hospice in Cornwall, and volunteer should contact Nikki on 01872 278466.
