MORE than 7,000 people enjoyed the largest number of acts hosted by Watchet Music Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A line up of more than 40 acts, including bands such as Adrian Edmonson and the Bad Shepherds, solo artists and DJs performed at Parsonage Farm.
Organiser Mark Bale said: “It was fantastic, really excellent, it far exceeded our expectations.
“I think the main highlight for me is that we have now been officially accepted on the festival circuit.”
It was the fourth year since the music festival broke away from Watchet Carnival.
Mr Bale added: “The camping site was full, we had people come from far and wide – I think the furthest anyone came was from Carlisle.
“We had a big map where people had to put a sticker with where they came from.
“The only downside was the windy weather.”
One of the highlights was Croissant Neuf Solar Venue, who appeared at Glastonbury Festival and provided a third of the festival’s energy from solar and wind power.
The Children’s Hospice South West was the festival’s charity this year and will receive a donation from event proceeds.
