A HOST of agricultural attractions and family fun will be on offer at the 164th Dunster Show on Friday.

The annual event will showcase Somerset farming and livestock at the Dunster Castle Lawns.

Entertainment in the main ring will include pony club games and parades of prize winners.

The day’s attractions will range from music by the Tone Valley Jazzmen and the woody one-man band to ferret racing, rural craft displays and cookery demonstrations.

Livestock will be shown in classes for horses, cattle and sheep.

Rebecca Langdon, Dunster Show secretary, said: “This year we’ve got the Iberian horse display and the Devil Horseman will be back – he’s always really good. The Rookwood dog display team and the eagle and vulture show are popular every year.”

As last-minute preparations were put in the place Mrs Langdon added: “It’s all going to plan and I think we will be lucky weatherwise – there might be a few showers but I don’t think it will be awful.”

The show will begin at 8am and admission is £9 for adults and £4 for children aged four to 14.
