Vandals go on rampage with a digger

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information to an incident which resulted in thousands of pounds worth of damage.

Sometime overnight on Wednesday, July 28, unknown offenders have started up a digger in a field in Muchelney near Langport.

It is believed they then drove it into a large marquee pulling it down. They also damaged a classic vehicle and set fire to a caravan.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who may have any information about this incident.

They are asked to call Chard police on 0845-4567000 or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
