STUNNING photos of the West Somerset Railway feature in a new book about the tourist attraction.
The West Somerset Railway Revisited, by Don Bishop, showcases the railway’s development since the author’s first book was published five years ago.
Among the locomotives featured are the first A4 Pacific to visit, Royal Scot, and the newly built A1 Tornado. Diesel locomotives are also featured with engines including the Western Region’s hydraulic classes.
Somerset-based Don Bishop has been closely involved with the railway for 22 years with roles including special event planning up to 2008 and heritage director of the WSR Association.
