A FIRE broke out at the Wansborough Paper Mill in Watchet this morning.
Firefighters were called to the Brendon Road site shortly before 6am following reports that smoke was coming from one of its paper machines.
Staff managed to put the fire out using their on-site extinguishers before the fire service’s arrival.
The fire, which caused some minor smoke damage, was caused by a build-up of dust which caused the machine to overheat.
Crews ventilated the building before leaving.
