BRISTOL Airport is operating as normal today (Thursday) and there are currently no restrictions within UK airspace due to the Icelandic ash cloud.
Information from the Icelandic Meteorological Office yesterday showed that ash was still being emitted from the Eyjafjallajokull volcano, leading to an increase in ash over part of the UK on Tuesday and Wednesday.
But the new ash cloud moved westwards from the UK during last night, meaning ash concentrations over the UK today were below the new engine tolerance levels set by the aviation industry.
