Having been on the market for less than 24 hours a sale was agreed on The Old Inn, Kilmington, in East Devon, through licence & leisure specialists The Stonesmith Partnership, of Exeter. Sold on behalf of John and Di While, as a first time free of tie lease, it has been bought by Paul and Sue Diamond.

Paul also runs Branscombe Vale Brewery, with his partner Graham Luxon, which he intends to carry on with. Founded in 1992 they have since won many awards for their ales, which Paul will now be introducing to the Old Inn. On more than one occasion, the ales have been sampled by members of the Royal family.

Sue and Paul are specialising in using products only produced in the Westcountry, such as Devon cheeses, local Lyme Bay fish and seafood, regional ciders and Branscombe Vale real ales. Their business motto being "good value for money."

A detached 15th Century Grade II cob and thatched property The Old Inn is steeped in character. Recently the gardens and skittle ally have been extensively upgraded providing extra trade areas.

To the rear of both bars are the restaurant, comfortably laid out for 30 covers, and the catering kitchen.
