Yeovil Town will kick-off the new Nationwide Conference season with a 'home' game against promoted Ryman League champions Gravesend and Northfleet on Saturday, August 17 (writes Steve Sowden).

Although the match is scheduled at home, it is more than likely that it will take place at Dorchester Town's Avenue Stadium with Yeovil's Huish Park pitch being relaid.

Yeovil have been given a tough start to the new campaign. After the opening match they then have a trip to face Barnet on August 20 and then a long trek north to Morecambe on August 24.

Nuneaton Borough will be the visitors on the August Bank Holiday Monday and the month closes with a visit to Dr Martens' League champions Kettering Town.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson will take his troops to Forest Green Rovers for the traditional Boxing Day fixture with the return match taking place on New Year's Day.

Johnson was typically philosophical about the fixture list and said that you had to play everybody at some stage during the season.

But Yeovil have also been given a tough run-in to the season where the title and play-off places could still be up for grabs. In April they have been given home games with Telford United, Burton Albion and Chester City and away matches at Doncaster Rovers and Dagenham and Redbridge.

For full fixture list see this week's Yeovil Express out on Thursday, June 20.

Please check local press for matches during the season as fixture list is likely to change over the course of the campaign.
