SKATERS in Ilminster are on a countdown to having their own purpose-built facility.
At a meeting of the Area West Committee last Wednesday (June 19), South Somerset district councillors agreed to match the town council's contribution of £12,500, securing the £25,000 needed for the project.
The skatepark will provide a much needed facility for teenagers in the town, who have been asking for the facility for years.
