OPTIMISM among supporters surrounding Yeovil Town's chances of winning the Nationwide Conference title next season and with it a place in the Football League is already paying dividends at Huish Park (writes Steve Sowden).

The club's commercial secretary Sue Parsons told the Express this week that season ticket sales were going very well -- with many more applications expected in the weeks to come before the big Conference kick-off on August 17.

The feel good factor is still very much alive and well in and around the club following on from Yeovil's commendable third spot finish in the Conference last season and the excellent FA Umbro Trophy Final success over Stevenage Borough on May 12.

There have been no rumblings of discontent among the Huish Park camp during the close season unlike previous years and this has helped to keep the mood buoyant among everyone connected with the club.

The World Cup has enabled the football season to continue long into the summer and with Yeovil being named as one of the hot tips to win the Conference next season, many fans cannot wait for the new campaign to get started.

Mrs Parsons said: "Season ticket sales are going really well and it has been very encouraging because we've been getting plenty of applications from new supporters.

"The feel good factor is very strong at the moment and optimism is high for the new season. We are literally up to our necks in applications for season tickets."

Mrs Parsons added that the closing date for discount season tickets was this weekend.

The Huish Park office will be open from 10am to 12 noon this Saturday morning for supporters to get their special offer season tickets.

But Mrs Parsons said: "Obviously we will be able to deal with those applications which have been posted and get to us by Monday morning."

From Monday people will have to pay the full price for season tickets.

Adult season ticket prices up to June 30 are as follows: Vice-presidents £208; Main Stand £160; Bartlett Stand £144; Westland Stand £144. The usual concessions will apply on stand and terrace season tickets for senior citizens and juniors.

Supporters wanting to buy a season ticket for the first time, however, have been advised that there will be a five per cent increase for them.

Adult season ticket prices for new supporters up to June 30 are as follows: Vice presidents £218; Main Stand £168; Bartlett Stand £151; Westland Stand £151. Concession season ticket prices for new supporters up to June 30 are also available.
