SOMERSET College of Arts and Technology (SCAT), in Taunton, is holding a construction fun day on Saturday, October 5
The action includes digger displays, talks from experts, free taster sessions, free hard hats for the first 50 under-10s, and a free prize draw for a DVD player.
The event is part of National Construction Week, which promotes the range of careers available in construction.
The day focuses on fun elements of construction and also offers the chance to look at and talk about sustainability and plans for the sustainable resource centre.
Visitors can tour the multi-million pound technology centre, due to be opened next Friday by TV presenter Philippa Forrester, pictured right, of Tomorrow's World and Robot Wars fame.
The day runs from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
