SOMERSET Cancer Care is appealing for volunteers and Friends to help support cancer patients and their carers locally.
Volunteers -- male and female of any age -- receive free, specialised training, including listening skills, confidentiality and self-awareness.
They give information and support at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, and support groups in Taunton, Minehead and Wells.
The group is also looking for qualified aromatherapists and reflexologists.
The Friends meet informally in their own homes to plan and run fundraising events and publicity.
