TIVERTON athlete Caroline Hewitt ran off with a top prize after winning a prestigious road race at the weekend.
Caroline, who is a member of Tiverton Harriers, was the first woman to complete the Taunton 10k race on Sunday (September 29).
She beat off rivals to claim the winner's crown after completing the course in 38 minutes and 28 seconds.
The race, which is organised by Taunton and District Carnival Committee and backed by the Star's sister paper the Somerset County Gazete, attracted 367 runners.
