FIREFIGHTERS across Devon are ready for strike action - they are united in feeling the Government and their employers will not agree to pay them whaty they deserve.
When the ballot results are announced on October 18, the Devon branch of the Fire Brigade Union expects members to have voted unanimously in favour of strike action.
After nearly six months of talks and after acknowledging that firefighters' pay is inadequate, employers have offered a four per cent pay rise and future independent review of pay.
