SCORES of people across Wellington stopped for a refreshing drink last Friday (September 27) as part of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Events throughout the area including Lodge Close and The Court residential homes, Pulsford Lodge in Wiveliscombe and Milverton WI, helped raise hundreds of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Relief - nationally organisers are hoping to beat last year's total of £3.2million.
One of the events, which gave people a chance to toast the work of the cancer charity, was held at Wellington School where pupils and staff raised £35.
A Macmillan spokesman said: "Everyone who went along to the coffee morning had a great time and were happy to help such a worthwhile cause."
