A tempting range of home-made fare is on offer at new tearooms set up at a Gunwalloe farm in a bid to boost income.
The Avalennek Tea Rooms are the result of a diversification project at Trenoweth Farm which has seen a redundant piggery converted into a base for the new business.
Mary Ferris, who has been farming at Trenoweth with her husband, Keith, for some 20 years, said it was hoped the venture would boost local producers, as well as helping ease the farm's finances.
She said: "Our son, Paul, will be carrying on the farming, but we have to do something else as well to try and boost our income.
"At the same time we want to support businesses in the area by using as much local produce as we can."
The tearooms will be run by villager Karen Mills, whose father-in-law, John Mills, a former landlord of the Halzephron Inn, officially opened the new business on Friday.
