"Batman and Robin" target Willow Man
A GROUP of fathers’ rights campaigners, including men dressed as Batman and Robin, descended on the Willow Man near Bridgwater this afternoon.
The group, who say they were part of the New Fathers 4 Justice group, arrived at the iconic statue off the M5 motorway at around 2pm today.
The campaigners, who say they want greater rights for fathers to see their children, attempted to peg a 10ft St George’s flag near the Willow Man with the words Vote English written on it, a reference to their support for the English Democrats political party. A spokesman for the group said the man dressed as Batman left the scene after a traffic officer arrived but it was not known what had happened to the man dressed as Robin.

Precisely Blacknight_uk no wonder their partners left them if this is the mentality of this so called fathers group. LEAVE OUR WILLOW MAN ALONE & go play with your own toys batman & robin
They do this because they are not and do not want to be absent parents. They do this from frustration that they are not heard.

These fathers groups would receive greater support if they spoke to people through the press etc rather than trespassing or vandalizing property as, for example, Fathers 4 Justice often do, causing great upheavel to others when roads are shut etc
Why, I wonder also, does this fathers group feel the need to associte itself with the English Democratic Party??

I admire these people for having the balls to actually do something about raising awareness for their cause. Where did that come from!? They would simply be ignored by trying to communicate through the press, but the biggest problem for them is that their press releases wouldn't even get printed! Come on people! They probably "associate themselves" with the English Democrats party because they are the only party who are interested in sorting out the many problems with with fading country. Have you looked at their website and researched them. They actually look pretty good.
That's a bit of an assumption isn't it? How do you know they are usually woman? I've heard lots of absent fathers say that the Fathers4Justice actions are wrong and give them a bad name...
