King's College trio heading for Oxford

THREE Sixth Formers at King’s College, Taunton, have won places at Oxford University.

Oliver Jones will read classics at St Benet’s Hall, Olivia Higgs is studying law at St Catherine’s College and Alexandra Thorne is taking modern history at Brasenose College.

Headmaster Richard Biggs said: “I congratulate the three pupils wholeheartedly.

“They represent a dynamic and exciting bunch of Sixth Formers at King’s.

“We are not an academic hothouse and our students succeed in a great variety of areas – including sport and music and drama – but our academic results are very strong and our students are very successful at getting into highly competitive universities.”
