THESE young lads REALLY wanted a skatepark in Bridgwater, and they knew just how to show it.

Jack Bridges, George Rollinson and Ben Toomer wore nothing but the bare essentials as they took their boards through town to campaign for a new skating facility.

A BRIDGWATER chippy was serving up spooks - so the Mercury went to investigate.

After seeing many strange goings-on, including objects moving on their own, staff at the Polar Bear Fish Bar decided to upload their own spooky spoof video on to You Tube.

Our intrepid reporter James Beal then spent a night at the shop to see for himself, and left the following morning shaken and stirred.

AFTER months of delays and debate, Queenswood Farm in Durleigh was chosen as the site for the new Haygrove School in Bridgwater.

The decision was passionately opposed by many people who considered Queenswood an unsuitable site for a new school.
