Westfield Awards Part 1: Former students return for celebration


WESTFIELD Community School in Yeovil was delighted to welcome back former students for its annual GCSE presentation evening.

During the evening the former students were presented with their GCSE certificates by the school principal Chris Hunt and 20 former students also received trophies and awards as a tribute to the hard work they put in and the challenges some of them had to overcome during their time at the school.

Award winners were as follows: Westfield Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Chelsea Bratherton and Chris Bosley; Jo Stevenson Innovation and Creativity in D&T, Karrina Rose; outstanding achievement in D&T, Mary Rash; Milne Trophy for sport, Olivia Minter; Wyndham Prize for attainment in history, Louisa Webberley; Westfield English student of the year trophy, Chess Suffield; Aerosystems Shield for ICT, Elizabeth Chapman; Westfield mathematician of the year trophy, Jake Denney and Katie Thomas; science achievement trophy, Hayley Todd; scientist of the year trophy, Alex Bowler; Marguerite Jackson Challenge Trophy, Solomon Hardy; Citizenship Cup, Danielle Jackson; Governors’ attainment award, Louisa Webberley; outstanding attainment award, Mary Rash and Anthony Morris.
