THE trial of a former Minehead police inspector charged over the deaths of four people begins today.
Keith Bridges, originally from Minehead, was driving a car which crashed near his home in Berbiguieres, in the Dordogne region, killing his wife Julie and his step-daughter Bethany Lowe, 10, as well as family friend Andrew Dyer and his daughter Gabriella, also 10, in June 2006.
Mr Bridges will appear at the Bergerac Courts of Justice in Place du Palais, France, charged with their involuntary manslaughter.
